Nobody Can Not Stop Death, But We Can Help You Rest In Peace

Mirror Wills
"Married Couples, Same Sex Life Partners and those involved in other Civil Unions need  Wills that Mirror each other"
A Joint Will is where two people, such as a husband and Wife, share the same Will.

Joint Wills are uncommon and unpopular for many reasons. In a Joint Will, both the husband and wife must die in order for the Will to take effect. Thus, if one spouse were to pass away before the other, the predeceased assets, wishes, and intents are put on hold until the other spouse passes away as well. This can cause a very large lag time and can essentially make the Joint Will useless and outdated.

The more common approach is to make two wills that "Mirror" each other. In essence, you both choose the same executors, guardians, etc. The Wills "mirror" each other and thus, both of your wishes are carried out and both Wills are valid upon the passing of either spouse.
